Emergency drill in the Skifjelltunnelene

Last night we conducted a contingency exercise in the Skifjelltunnelene in Lillesand where the purpose was to practice handling a serious traffic accident in the tunnel where three people were seriously injured and one died in the accident.

All emergency services, the Road Traffic Center and the operating contractors participated in the exercise. OPS E18 conducts a Emergency Preparedness Exercise at least once a year, the purpose of which is to practice various accident scenarios. Common to all exercises is that we gain very useful knowledge which in turn makes us even better at handling accident situations that arise suddenly.
